A Note from Dr. Martine Jones
Hi there, I'm Martine. Nice to "meet" you! I know that it can be scary and humbling to recognize that you are not happy with yourself or in your life. Maybe you even think that things will never get better. That's probably why you are here. But I am here to tell you that that is not true! I have seen it time and time again.
You can learn to love yourself, just as you are.
You can break that relationship pattern that you keep repeating, no matter how many times you have tried and failed. You can overcome negative or worrying thoughts and go through the day with more peace and confidence. And you can start to be brave enough to be your authentic self.
We all want to get in touch with our innate wisdom and receive its message about how to live our best possible life. And while you may have forgotten how to access that wisdom somewhere along the path, you can find your way back, and I can help. I do this by helping you to increase your capacity for mindfulness (i.e. self-awareness of your mind and body), guiding you in how to grow your compassion for yourself, and teaching you how to soothe yourself and tend to your distress. I also walk along side you as you find the courage to face what has been keeping you stuck.
It requires a great amount of bravery and a lot of hope to take the leap to begin therapy, not to mention time and energy. So you should do your research!
