About Dr. Martine Jones

Hello! I am Martine Jones (formerly Martine Luntz), the owner of Hazel Tree Counseling, based out of Asheville, North Carolina and offering online therapy in North Carolina and Florida. I have a doctorate in clinical psychology from Nova Southeastern University.
I have worked with adults of all ages as well as undergraduate and graduate students at universities across the east coast of the United States including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and the University of Vermont, where I was the director of the Mind/Body Wellness Program.
My approach to therapy involves the application of a variety of techniques that I have learned in my training, from my experience of over 10 years of practice, and through the wisdom I have gained in my own path towards wellness and greater fulfillment. I work on helping people to grow their strengths and abilities rather than focusing on what they lack. In my sessions, I incorporate mindfulness-based practices, cognitive-behavioral therapy - CBT, and EMDR for trauma. Essentially, I help you access your mind's wisdom and your body's wisdom to find greater peace and contentment, to heal in the present, and to learn how to care for yourself in the future.
I have taught many mindfulness-based workshops and groups and supervised various clinicians in their training. I am also a lifelong learner and do my best to stay on the cutting edge of research and trainings. I love helping people to get back in touch with their own wisdom and supporting them in finding their best path. I hope to meet you sometime and would be excited to work with you on this journey!
